Nuts are used in conjunction with a mating bolt to fasten parts together. They are held together by a combination of thread friction, a slight expansion of the bolt, and the compression of torque applied to the two seperate pieces. If being used in an application with vibration, a locking mechanism such as lock washers, thread-locking fluid, or lock-wire is advised. Nuts are designed to meet a variety of applications and technical standards in the aerospace industry. Some other types of nuts include wel nuts, wing nuts, square nuts, and t-nuts. Monroe Aerospace is a stocking distributor of Aerospace and Mil-Spec hardware. We have an extensive inventory of nuts. Every part that we sell is in Factory new (FN) condition and we provide our company’s certificate of conformance for all parts on every order. See below for our products.
